About Myton Law
Myton Law was founded by Scott Yates and John Habergham in 2010. We are a modern, niche firm specialising in all aspects of shipping law, transport law and insurance law.
Our Beliefs
At Myton Law we believe in:
- plain talking and taking a pragmatic, commercial approach to cases;
- placing the needs and interests of clients above our own;
- acting with integrity and honesty.
Hull & Humber
We are proud to be based in the busy maritime Port of Hull with an office on the banks of the River Humber.
The Humber is the UK's busiest navigable inland waterway and the Humber estuary ports (comprising Grimsby, Immingham, Hull, Goole and various other wharves) represent the largest ports conurbation in the UK in volume terms. We are ideally placed to assist companies involved in the local shipping, transport and insurance sectors whatever their problems maybe.
Further Afield
However our work is not confined to the immediate geographical area. Indeed a significant proportion of our cases have no connection with this area at all. For example, we are close to the major European seaport of Rotterdam, where we have strong, established links and do significant volumes of work for Dutch insurers.
Because Hull benefits from excellent road, rail, sea and air transport links we can meet our clients needs anywhere in the UK or abroad.
Why Use Us?
Being based in Hull and operating as a small, specialist team we offer considerable competitive advantages compared with other law firms and yet there is absolutely no compromise on quality. We have flexible and innovative charging options and we will always ensure that clients know what the cost of any particular course of action will be.
We employ specialists who have national reputations in their respective fields and we have access to an impressive network of foreign lawyers, consultants and experts who can be engaged when required.
We have invested in and utilise completely modern I.T and software which enable us to operate quickly, efficiently and effectively whether in the office or elsewhere.
We operate a 24-hour, 365 day emergency response service so we are always available.
