Concerns Over Visas for Foreign Seafarers Highlighted

The British Chamber of Shipping has formally contacted the Minister of State for Business and Enterprise over problems encountered in the granting of visas for foreign seafarers on ships undergoing refit in the UK. This could, as highlighted by the Chamber, have a detrimental effect on shipyards and ports involved in commercial repair and retrofit of vessels. The letter can be read here
